Use various colors of chalk to make a mural on your driveway! Draw the mountain in our story; then draw and altar, and then draw Abraham, and continue the picture while telling the story again!
GAME AND VIDEO OF THE WEEK:
UP, UP AND AWAY BALLOON FLIGHT:
Have your child blow up a balloon and place a small piece of paper inside that will say JESUS LOVES YOU. Go outside and let the balloon take flight. Pray for people who might find the balloons and read the LOVE NOTE inside the balloon!
THANK YOU NOTES:
Children can be given construction paper and markers, stickers, glitter, etc to make a folded THANK YOU note to our Father for sending the Holy Spirit to be our comfort and our guide.. Send them to the church or leave with a neighbor!
SING A SONG:
Jesus Loves Me
PLAY DOUGH ART:
Have your child “roll” their various colors of play dough, to form the words, “WAY, TRUTH, LIFE“. Ask children a question about the story and when they answer, let them add a letter to the above word list until all the words are in place.
SHARE A SNACK:
Give your child a couple of marshmallows to hook together with candy stick or a toothpick to represent a sheep! These could be dipped in frosting or chocolate syrup!
Take the children outside and let them draw a big pair of eye glasses on the parking lot before the teacher begins the Bible lesson. After the lesson, have a discussion about what the disciples had trouble seeing and understanding in today’s lesson.
Let the children trace each of their hands onto construction paper and then glue a large black dot/circle onto each hand. Let children trace or write I BELIEVE above the hands picture. Ask children if they believe that Jesus rose from the grave.
Children’s Ministry offers a nursery for our 9:00 service, during Sunday School hours and for our 11:00 service. We have paid nursery workers that will keep your child in the lower level of the Kale Christian Center in a safe, caring environment.
We have Sunday School (called SPARK) at 10:00 in the lower level of Kale Christian Center for ages 3 years old through 5th grade. You can see Kim Hastings, Kate Hudson or any childcare worker or volunteer for more information. We welcome any child! The weekly lessons are taught through Art, Cooking, Drama, Music, Science, and Games! We do have a staff member that is a Special Needs teacher with Guilford County Schools who is here to assist if you have a special needs child. We welcome your child and are here for their needs. Please complete the form and bring on your first Sunday.
Children of all ages are welcome to attend any of our services, however, we do offer Children’s Church, which dismisses from the front row of the 11:00 service, for ages Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This program is led by church volunteers.
