The Music and Worship Arts ministry of Muir’s Chapel United Methodist Church strives to glorify God through our talents. All of the effort and art that we offer is in gratitude for the immeasurable gifts God has given us.
An adult (ages 16 and up) choir that provides music each week for the 11:10 a.m. Sunday Service.
Chancel Choir does a variety of music including, traditional choral literature, contemporary, and praise music.
A blend of singers and instrumentalists, who provide praise and worship music for the 9:10 a.m. Bridge@314 service. They use modern worship music—often songs you hear on Christian radio and visual media to bring worship to life! Anyone wanting to join the team is asked to contact Laurin Allred to get plugged in!
The Praise Band rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 p.m. in the Kale Christian Center Gym. Masks Required. Vaccination requested.
A group of instrumentalists including brass, organ, piano, and others that provide occasional accompaniment for the 11:10 service. This group brings added life to congregational singing! If you play an orchestral instrument and would like to join, let Laurin Allred know!
This group meets as needed Sunday mornings at 10:10am in the Sanctuary to rehearse the week’s hymns.
The Muir’s Chapel Ringers
Our 3 octave handbell choir offers gorgeous bell music in worship throughout the year. We are always looking for new friends to introduce to the joy of ringing! Basic music-reading ability is preferred.
The Muir’s Chapel Ringers rehearse on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 pm as needed in the Narthex.
I’ve Got Rhythm Drum & Chime Circle
A new COVID-safe music ministry offering for kids Kindergarten-5th grade. We play drums, chimes, use body percussion, rhythm instruments, and speech to explore Bible lessons and prepare unique moments for worship. The Drum & Chime circle offers special music in our 9:15 and 11:10 a.m. services several times throughout the academic year.
This group meets Sunday afternoons at 5:00 p.m. outdoors under the breezeway. All instruments are sanitized before and after use. Masks are required.
Children in Kindergarten-5th grades meet to prepare a Christmas program and other short skits. This group meets simultaneously with the I’ve Got Rhythm Drum & Chime Circle and children are invited to participate in both fun ministries. Masks are required.
There are many ways to be involved behind-the-scenes in Muir’s Chapel’s worship technology ministries!
Audio Team- audio volunteers are trained to produce the sound of our worship services. Audio team members may serve at one or all of our 3 Sunday services.
Visual Media Team- these volunteers use ProPresenter software and our projection system to enhance our worship. Visual Media Team members may train and serve at one or both of our 9:15 a.m. or 11:10 a.m services.
Livestreamers- These volunteers are trained as camera operators and livestreaming software operators to produce our livestreamed worship each week.
Content Creators- If you love graphic design, video production or presentation creation, this is the spot for you! Our content creators create visual media for use in all of our services: in-person and online!
