Hello, Muir’s Chapel Family!
Click the link to view Pastor Brenda’s message “We Need More Old Souls” from September 19th, 2021.  The sermon text is James 3:13-4:3; 4:7-8.   https://youtu.be/kMccvhKeWL4
This video is in place of our live-streamed 11:00 a.m. Sunday Celebration Service.  We are working through challenges as we make the transition to live streaming our worship.  The issue has been solved and we look forward to offering our live-streamed 11:00 a.m. service next Sunday. Thank you for your patience!

Prayer During Conoravirus Situation
God of Comfort and Wisdom,
We remember today the words from Psalm 121, “I lift up my eyes to the hills- from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”   Lord, we are lifting up our eyes to You. Have mercy on us in the midst of the latest coronavirus and all of the anxiety swirling around it. We have many prayers.
We pray first, and especially, for those who have lost loved ones due to this virus. May they feel Your comforting presence and hope in the midst of despair. We pray for all who grieve today. There is a long list of illnesses that we still have no cure for, and many who are undergoing treatments even as we pray. Ease their pain, guide the medical professionals who are overseeing their care, and give physical, emotional, and spiritual strength to their families.
We pray for our leaders in the medical field, that You will grant them wisdom, wise advisers, and that they will quickly make the next steps that need to be taken. We pray for all medical professionals dealing daily with the intense added pressures of this crisis. Grant them resilience in weariness and compassion upon compassion as they care for the sick. Lead those involved in research to the cure needed and the wisdom to contain this virus.
We pray for all leaders dealing daily with the intense added pressures of tough decisions. Grant them a wisdom beyond their own. Put before them the faces of those who will suffer economically and face great losses with these decisions. Fill them with compassion so that they will remember those who are struggling when the fears of the virus subside.
We pray for all who are facing great economic loss because of the decisions to cancel events.  Some businesses will even go out of business, so rise up resources and help for people to get back on their feet again. We pray for children who rely on food from school to be sustained, and when schools close, they are hungry. We pray for families, already struggling, who now need childcare and food but cannot afford them. We pray for all of those who were already vulnerable, and know that this has a devastating effect on them. Lead all of us to gather resources to combat their great losses.
Lord, we pray for ourselves.  We pray for health for ourselves and our loved ones. We pray for a faith that fights all fears. We pray for Your strength which is far beyond our own strength. We pray for the peace and hope that not only sustains us, but that will be a helpful witness to others.
Lord, You are powerful and merciful. We need both.
“Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in You I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.” (Psalm 57:1)
